< back Subject: Indigent Subjects of Committeeship Proceedings Right to Representation Disability Advocates intervened in this committeeship proceeding in Greene County Supreme Court (1) to request that counsel be appointed for the indigent woman who was the subject of the proceeding, and (2) to seek a declaration that indigent persons have a due process right to be advised of the right to court appointed counsel, and to the appointment of counsel on request, at public expense if necessary.
